Begin with the Villains

A word from Chief Alchemical Officer, Evan J. Peterson:

Greetings, researchers and scoundrels.

As you’ve undoubtedly read in my last encyclical, the Posthuman Age is here, crashing into our reality with a turgid incursion. I therefore feel it necessary to inform you about some of the characters you will meet when you cross into that plane. We’ll start with the Big Bad.

The BrainSkull

George Kemp goes by the posthuman moniker of The BrainSkull. I picture him as a green-skinned supergenius with an obscenely swollen skull. Clearly, he's inspired by characters like the Leader (Marvel) and Brainiac (DC). There's also definite inspiration taken from Mars Attacks, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., and the GWAR villain Skullheadface.

The BrainSkull isn't merely a supergenius, of course. He also has the power of neurogenic satellite telepathy. He can grow buds of neurological tissue which, when implanted in others, allow him to control them telepathically as well as to perceive what they perceive.

This emerald menace is the leader of the separatist-terrorist group known as the Posthuman Supremacy International Organized Network. Having inherited leadership of PSION from the original leaders, he may even have killed one of them to get to his current position.

Fun Fact: during the White Coup, when a member of PSION managed to be elected President of the United States of America, the BrainSkull was appointed as Secretary of Homeland Security in the so-called “wondercabinet.”
